What We Mean by “Register Your Support”

By completing the fields for full name, email address, and country, and optionally providing your region/state and phone number (SMS-capable), then ticking the box to agree to receive text messages, and checking “I agree to Register My Support,” and finally tapping or clicking the Submit button below in the Register Your Support Form, you will become a Registered Care Provider.

When you “Register Your Support,” the Currents of Care website will retain your information for internal use only. This allows us to send you email updates related to the site’s activities — including new content, special requests for care, notification of changes to care request lists, and topics aligned with your desire to support others.

Prior to registering please read our Terms of Use and Terms of Participation.

We will never share the information you provide on the Register Your Support Form with any outside or unrelated third party for any reason.

What We Ask of You by Registering

By choosing to register, you’re telling those seeking care:
You are not alone. I am here. I will focus my energy for your benefit.

We hope that Registered Care Providers are willing to commit to:

20 minutes a day, 1 to 3 days a week, offering your energy to support others.

Your first initial, last name, country, and (if provided) region/state will be displayed on our Registered Care Providers page.

This list serves two key purposes:

• It encourages others to join and contribute their energy.

• It reassures those in need that there are real people ready to focus on their real needs with real energy.

When someone seeking care views the list, it creates a point of mental contact — a tangible sense of being seen, supported, and included in something larger than themselves.

Providing your SMS-capable phone number enrolls you in our Emergency Response Team (ERT) — a group of volunteers who respond quickly to urgent and time-sensitive care requests.

Important details about ERT participation:

• The ERT may be activated at any time — day or night.

• Activation occurs via text message only after a thoroughly vetted emergency request is received.

An ERT text message includes:

• The first initial and last name and a link to a photo of the person needing care

• A brief description of their situation

• Their exact location in the world

• A clearly defined start and end time

If you feel called to respond and are available during the indicated time, reply with “YES.” This helps us track participation and response metrics for our records.

Upon confirming with “YES,” you will receive:

1. A reminder text 5 minutes before the start

2. A “Start Now” message at the scheduled time

3. A “Stand Down” message at the end time

If you must leave early, simply text us “STANDING DOWN” so we can accurately record your support window.

Please respond with “YES” to complete your enrollment in the Emergency Response Team.

How to Update / Remove your Data
Unenroll from the ERT

If at any time you wish to have update or remove your data, or unenroll from the ERT, click the "Update / Remove Your Data" button and complete the form.

• You may choose to update your SMS enabled telephone number, or...

• You may choose to have all your information removed, or...

• You may choose to have your phone number removed (if previously provided) to unenroll from the Emergency Response Team.

To process a deletion request, you must provide your full name, email address, and the phone number (if applicable) that you originally used when you registered. The information you provide must match the information you registered with.
