Currents of Care references research from established fields including neuroscience, psychology, psychoneuroimmunology, heart rate variability research, and social support studies.
These areas of research demonstrate that:
Perceived social support correlates with improved health outcomes.
Emotional regulation influences physiological stress responses.
Psychological expectancy can influence subjective and measurable experience.
Emotional states can spread through social networks.
However, no scientific consensus establishes that collective intention or focused attention alone directly produces specific medical or physical outcomes.
